Eureka Police arrested a 36-year-old Bridgeton woman for allegedly driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child. The woman allegedly registered a .203 percent blood-alcohol content, police report said.

In Missouri, .08 percent is the legal limit.

An officer was called at about 8:20 p.m. Oct. 22 to the Schnucks grocery store, 245 E. Fifth St. A 2017 Acura MDX was stopped in the parking lot, and SUV’s front and rear driver’s side tires were severely damaged, the report said.

When an officer arrived, he saw the woman in the driver’s seat and a 14-year-old boy in the passenger’s seat, and the SUV’s engine was still running. The woman appeared to be intoxicated, and she allegedly failed field sobriety tests, according to the report.

The woman was taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and held for Maplewood Police on warrants for traffic offenses, the report said.

Eureka Police will seek charges against the woman through the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for DWI and endangering the welfare of a child, Capt. Michael Werges said.
