Jewelry, electronics, $2,000 in cash and other items recently were stolen from a home in the 3300 block of Rock Creek Road in High Ridge, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The theft happened between July 17 and July 18.
In addition to the cash, the stolen items included a gold watch, three gold rings, two gold bracelets, a Dell laptop, 10 iPad Touch devices, two Gillette electric shavers, three Gillette electric shaver refills, about 50 CDs and a set of keys were stolen, the report said.
Altogether the cash and items were valued at $14,317, according to the report.
The victim told deputies he suspected a person who had been staying at his home stole the items, the report said.
On July 17, the suspect allegedly had several people at the house, while the victim was asleep, and when the victim work up he found the items missing, according to the report said.
One of the people who had been at the home during the alleged theft told deputies the suspect had left the house with a brown suitcase and several other bags. Also, the witness said the suspect admitted to taking the victim’s keys, the report said.
Deputies have not been able to locate the suspect, and no arrests had been made as of July 25, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.
