Samantha K. Schnitker, 30, of Byrnes Mill was hurt in a one-car accident that occurred at 2:43 a.m. today (July 2) at Emerson Road and Hwy. HH in Franklin County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

She was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix north on Hwy. HH too fast and failed to negotiate a curve to the right, where the car ran off the east side of the road, and then she overcorrected and lost control of the car, which ran off the west side of the road, went airborne and struck a tree, the report said.

Schnitker received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Washington, Mo.

She was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
