Wilfried K. Schloemp, 52, of the Jefferson County portion of Fenton has been sentenced to five years in prison for driving under the influence of alcohol, according to court records.

It was the fourth time he had pleaded guilty to DWI charges, according to the report.

The latest incident occurred Jan. 31 on New Sugar Creek Road.

Previous incidents happened in November 2007 in Crawford County, in April 1999 in St. Louis County and in October 1987 in Jefferson County, the report said.

Schloemp pleaded guilty to the most recent charge on June 4 and was sentenced that day by Jefferson County Div. 6 Circuit Judge Troy A. Cardona, the report said.

He had received a four-year sentence for the 2007 offense and was released on probation after completing an alcohol treatment program, Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney Forrest Wegge said.

Since Schloemp was a persistent offender, he was charged with a class C felony in the latest case and received five years, Wegge said.

Assistant prosecuting attorney Catherine M. Robertson handled the case.
