Ex-boyfriend accused of burglary, assault with baseball bat

A 22-year-old House Springs man has been arrested for allegedly burglarizing a home in the 6600 block of Jenny Court in Cedar Hill and assaulting people who were at the home at the time, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The man allegedly forced his way into the home at about 3:45 a.m. May 13 and “began swinging a baseball bat at the victims,” the report said.

One of the victims wrestled with the suspect, who then allegedly got a knife from the kitchen and slashed at one of the victims, according to the report.

None of the three victims was seriously hurt, although one of them, a 24-year-old Festus woman, received minor injuries but

    Festus police received 21 reports of spray-paint vandalism of cars, property

    Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis said his department has received 21 reports of spray-paint vandalism of vehicles and other property starting early this morning (June 19).

    The vandalism reports come from the area of Huber Street and Fairview, Cleveland, Ridge and Russell avenues, the chief said.

    “The first victim called us at 4:15 a.m.,” Lewis said. “It looks like (the vandals) went down the streets spray-painting profanity on cars and also vandalizing nearby

    Follow that pickup! Thief drives stolen truck into mailboxes, car, house

    The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a pickup from a home in the 4600 block of Brennan Woods in High Ridge.

    After the suspect drove away in the stolen pickup, he or she ran into mailboxes, a parked car, a tree and a home, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

    The pickup, a black 1981 Dodge Ram, was stolen about 1:50 a.m. June 7, the report said.

    Ladder, camera, other items stolen at Dittmer cabin

    A ladder, a grill, electronics and other items recently were stolen from a cabin near the 9300 block of Morse Mill Road in Dittmer, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

    The burglary happened between April 21 and May 19.

    Among the stolen items were a Werner 12-foot extension ladder, a Grill Master grill, a Sharp 19-inch TV, a Sony stereo, about 100 feet of electrical wire, two portable ground blinds, two propane tanks

    Arnold man caught with stolen ATV

    A 35-year-old Arnold man was arrested about 7:20 p.m. June 7 for allegedly stealing an ATV from a home in the 2100 block of East Highview Drive, Arnold Police Maj. Nick McBroom said.

    A neighbor reported the theft after seeing the man allegedly enter the home’s backyard and use a torch to cut a chain that was securing the ATV to the home, McBroom said.

    Sister barricades herself in room to keep brother away; 3 arrested

    Arnold Police got a call at 9:28 p.m. June 5 about a domestic dispute at a home on Maple Drive and ended up arresting three Arnold men – two for possession of drugs and one for peace disturbance, Arnold Police report.

    At the Maple Drive home, a 20-year-old Arnold man allegedly had a dispute with his sister, who had barricaded herself in a room to avoid him, the report said.

    2011 assault yields sentences of 18 years, 18 years and 20 years

    Theodore Joseph Sansoucie, 21, of Festus and Raymond J. Nixon, 20, of Imperial each were sentenced to 18 years in prison for assaulting another man in 2011, court records show.

    Also, Dustin Theodore Hicks, 27, of Bonne Terre has been sentenced to 20 years in connection with the same assault, according to court documents.

    On May 20, 2011, the three men seriously injured another man by punching, kicking and stomping him, the report said.

    Man arrested after high-speed chase on I-55

    A 24-year-old Festus man was arrested this morning (June 14) following a high-speed chase that started in Barnhart, continued north to Arnold and then headed back south before ending in Festus, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

    During the chase, which reached speeds of 80 mph, the man struck a minivan with a woman and two children inside. They were not hurt, Arnhart said.

    High Ridge man sentenced in multiple cases to 7-year term

    Tondom J. Clark, 36, of High Ridge recently was sentenced two seven-year prison terms for resisting arrest and driving with a revoked license, court papers show.

    He also received two six-year terms for domestic assault and abuse of a child, the report said.

    Homeless man eats fruit, damages plants, caught sleeping at produce business

    A 61-year-old homeless man recently was issued summonses for trespassing and property damage, after he allegedly was found sleeping behind the outdoor counter at Orlando Produce, 806 Jeffco Boulevard, in Arnold, Arnold Police report.

    Rock Community firefighters recently used a special K-9 mask to revive a dog that was suffering from smoke inhalation following a kitchen fire at a home in the 1900 block of Maple Drive in Arnold, says Ron Harder, the fire district’s public information officer.

    Valles Mines man suspected of stealing pickup while owner fished

    A 25-year-old Valles Mines man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a pickup that was parked near the Valles Mines Post Office on Hwy. V while the owner was fishing, says Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

    The pickup, a white 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 valued at about $5,000, was stolen between 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. May 7. It was found about 12:30 a.m. May 11 abandoned along Liberty School Road, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

    Imperial woman gets four-year sentence on two drug charges

    Holly N. Brown, 23, of Imperial has been sentenced to four years in prison on drug charges, according to court documents.

    On Jan. 13, 2012, Brown was found in Jefferson County with heroin, the report said.

    It was her second drug offense.

    In August 2009, Brown was found in Jefferson County with more than 35 grams of marijuana, according to the report.

    Theft of telephone wire took out service in Festus area

    About 65 feet of telephone wire recently was stolen from along the Seneca Road Bridge in the Festus area, knocking out service to residents living nearby, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

    The copper wire was stolen sometime before 11 a.m. May 3, when service in the area was interrupted, the report said.

    Former Imperial man gets a 10-year sentence on drug charges

    Cody R. Graham, 23, formerly of Imperial, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on drug charges, court records show.

    In October 2010, he was found in possession of more than 35 grams of marijuana and two other controlled substances – psilocin and hydrocodone, the report said.

    43-year-old sentenced to 22 years for multiple meth offenses; two others get 5-year sentence

    Daniel Scott Hall, 43, of Ste. Genevieve has been sentenced to 22 years in prison on drug charges, according to court documents.

    In May 2009, he was found in possession of muriatic acid, lithium batteries, ammonium sulfate, ephedrine, jars, tubing and other items used to manufacture methamphetamine, according to court records.

    Arnold man arrested in drug bust at apartments on Essex Drive; accused of making meth

    A 31-year-old Arnold man was arrested June 20 for allegedly making methamphetamine at two apartments in the 2000 block of Essex Drive.

    Police got a call about 7:15 a.m. about suspicious activity at the Essex apartment complex, said Major Nick McBroom of the Arnold Police Department.

    “A man was seen going in and out of an apartment with coffee cans,” McBroom said.

    When officers arrived, the man ran away, McBroom said.
